Bosnian Kingdom Trail Project Extension

Mozaik spent last couple of months reviewing its Bosnian Kingdom Trail project and communicating to various tour operators in order to best design future plans and project's exist strategy. We came to a conclusion that project's impact would be maximized through project extension of three and a half months, to ensure that its major activities will take use of the summer months, when greatest number of visitors come.

The European Delegation Commission has approved a no – cost extension request  in December 2009, for the Bosnian Kingdom Trail project for three and a half months. The project will end on July 17th, 2010. Major modifications to the project will include the following activities:

  1. Official ceremony of The Week of Bosnian Kings will take place in the second half of June.
  2. Project proposal for Travnik changed from the original idea of „Ethno house Garbun“ to a new activity „Medieval market“. This new project will focus on reviving old cratfts, such as blacksmiths, scribes, weavers, etc and presenting people and their products as a show case at the actual Travnik Fortress. This activity will greatly contribute to Travnik's tourist offer and will gain its tourism competative advantage. The project will also give employment opportunity to four people.
  3. Further education of selected tourist guids, especially for this spefici tourist product of „Bosnian Kingdom Trail.“

Mozaik will provide detailed information after each of the afore-mentioned activities has been completed.
